With increasing costs of fossil fuels and a looming shortage of supply, industries, governments and individuals are looking for alternatives to oil and gas. Affordable, scaleable wind power is part of the global strategy to reduce the green house gas emitting fossil fuel usage. Importantly, we believe that our vision for QUANTUM is directly aligned with the growing global sentiment toward alleviating our reliance on traditional fossil fuel energy sources, thus providing the company with a tremendous amount of goodwill, public support and a positive perception from both corporate and government infrastructures. Because wind power generation stems the creation of harmful greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants, it is invariably complemented by the ground swell of public policy decisions (and funding) that governments around the world continue to enact with the aim of a “green environment.”

We feel that this is a tremendous advantage going forward and it is our view that the alignment of both QUANTUM’S and governments’ goals will result in excellent funding and project opportunities as various initiatives fight for budgeted government dollars. In addition, it is our view that public policies which act as undeniable - and, in some legislative jurisdictions, mandatory - incentives for major energy producers to invest in alternative energy sources will continue to grow and represent a major opportunity for QUANTUM in the near term. Furthermore, it is anticipated that these corporate initiatives will result in QUANTUM being well positioned for several key alliances which will allow the company to attain greater market share, enhanced access to R&D talent, additional funding, market penetration and, ultimately, valuable economies of scale. In summary, we firmly believe we are in the right sector, at the right time, in the right markets, with the right products – and we believe QUANTUM is the right company to attain the “first mover” advantage in BC and beyond.

Specific to small industry, 50 kW wind turbines can generate enough power to operate their plants and provide excess energy that can then be sold back to the grid for profit. Using wind power gives industry the dual fold value of protecting the environment and the opportunity to realize a very attractive revenue stream. This same benefit applies to farms and aboriginal communities, two groups who have traditionally been marginalized by energy resources.
