50kW Production Model Turbine

Quantum Wind Power Corp. is proud to announce the Model 50 Wind Turbine, artistically designed by Steve Orzel.  The Model 50 Wind Turbine has a 25’ blade, and a 50’ diameter.

Depending on wind, the height will be 60’ to 80’ to center of the hub. The turbine is direct coupled to a TorsionTec direct drive generator, designed to produce 50 kW in 10 m/s (22 mph) wind, enough power for 15 to 20, three bedroom homes with additional power sold back to the grid.

The prototype development is contingent on funding with an 8 month development requirement and first deliveries to follow within 2 months.

Demand for this size turbine is substantial, it does not require environmental assessment, has low yearly maintenance cost, while producing significant power that can be sold to the grid, with installation similar to the smaller turbines.  This turbine is designed for the small to medium industrial businesses, office buildings, small sub-divisions, vacation resorts, shopping malls and agriculture from grain to live stock operations.  To date we have interest from the Caribbean, Mexico, USA and Canada.
