Everywhere we look in the world today we see the results of Global Warming, with more intense storms more often, with more loss of life and property, with unusual weather changes and patterns, the increase of wildfires and their intensity. Global Warming is caused by mainly humans!

Governments are now realizing that the voting public feels Global Warming is the number one issue that needs to be corrected as soon as possible...with the very recent complete about turn in thinking by both the Canadian and American Governments they also realize now what it will take to be reelected…become green or become extinct. We need strong programs in place with strong goals, with set milestones. The money has to be allotted to build up the Canadian green technologies industry whether though special investment initiatives allowing tax relieve to the investment communities and further enhanced government incentives encouraging onshore Canadian manufacturing. This would also encourage new Research and Development in both wind and solar development as with environmentally safe power storage systems as developed by VRB Power Systems in Vancouver Canada, and Torsion Tec who has developed new innovated direct drive generator technology, with many applications including wind/hydro and propulsion.

Reducing the impact of Global Warming and Climate Change; starts at the grade level and not all the responsibility of the governments. The cure starts at home with the reduction of Carbon emissions, in our everyday lives, drive a little less carpool, and replace old technology lighting with low wattage compact fluorescents. Supporting new technologies and buying EnergyStar rated products; adding consumer products such solar panels and wind turbines to our home environments. This would be a first step and would considerably reduce the carbon emissions impact, adding ground thermal heating and cooling systems to our building plans would also be a sound investment in our children’s futures.
