The Quantum wind manufacturing corporation strategy is to develop a Viable Canadian wind energy technology solution for global market penetration.

Our Mission

To effectively promote sustainable, renewable energy for a cleaner and healthier planet, making wind power affordable and attainable to a wide demographic and geographic market in North America and around the World.

Quantum Wind will develop a wind turbine company in British Columbia with the ability to manufacture industrial scale wind farm equipment with proposed production models: 20, 50 and 70 (feet diameter - 5 kW, 50 kW, ~100 kW in 22 mph winds). We expect a strong workforce by 2010, and some 100 related spin off jobs.

We will partner with Human Resources Canada’s Trades and Apprenticeship Program and also hopes to partner with the BC Government to educate the work force in this federally supported technology on a joint basis with our country’s top-notch Universities and Colleges. This centre will offer courses from electronics to composite blade design (CFD) and the manufacturing processes. It will also include control systems and data translations of wind and power data. Quantum will set up training seminars, and support the certification processes.

To be instrumental in the development of this “Research and Learning Institute” as a world renowned teaching and R&D facility. Quantum would offer scholarships that would support educational opportunities in this sector.

Along this extensive journey, we have found a phenomenal amount of excitement and support in relation to our mission - from small home owners to the large corporations such as Alcan, Suncor and Rankin Construction in Ontario. There is a tremendous level of excitement (and investment) surrounding the wind energy sector and QUANTUM is on the leading edge at the forefront of this growing wave of opportunity. We realized the importance of wind power in Canada for future sustainability as a viable option to reduce the concerns of Global Warming. In turn, we noticed there were no new technologies on the horizon that could make small and medium sized wind systems a good and viable choice for consumers in Canada and beyond. Quantum Wind will produce a complete wind energy solution for British Columbia, Canada and Worldwide Markets.

Today’s growth in developing third world nations and the rapid development of technology and automation has made electricity generation one of the fastest growing segments of the energy market. With global demand for electricity estimated to increase by more than 70% over the next 15 years, this rapid growth will only further strain and expose the limitations of the world’s environment. What is needed to cope with the rising demands of the world’s energy needs is the development of new energy economies that employ multiple forms of clean, renewable energy sources. The development of solar, wind, and hydrogen energy sources will help to bridge, and eventually sustain, the energy economies of the future.

Obviously, one of the most compelling aspects to the wind energy opportunity is the shear size and scope of the present antiquated energy marketplace which, in the U.S. alone, stands at over $350 billion annually. Wind technology represents one of the fastest growing segments of developing new energy sources, growing by more than 30% annually. Uncertainty in energy sources has been evidenced by social unrest, terrorism, increasing power shortages, volatility in price, and access to ample supplies of energy. Distributed power generation in the form of local and on-site renewable energy production is now becoming the focus of many government and business leaders. Due to its “gearless” nature, our turbines are designed to have a 30-year life span with only minor maintenance. Reliability is also increased thanks to the use of electronics instead of mechanics to condition the power for AC supply requirements and/or to synchronize with the utility grid.
